Created by award winning photographers, filmmakers, and visual storytellers, and supported by more than a century of refined travel and event expertise through Squire Travel and Events, the platform exists at the intersection of editorial storytelling and destination authority.
Our work is shaped through selective access to Savannah’s most compelling hotels, restaurants, cultural institutions, gallery spaces, and experience leaders. Inspired by the tradition of familiarization style travel, this access allows us to move beyond observation and into lived experience, including openings, previews, and invitation only cultural moments that reveal the evolving character of the city’s creative landscape.

Savannah Proper is an online magazine saturated with thoughtful stories that shine a light on the areas tastemakers, creatives, businesses, and places that make this town so special. I aim to create a place that bridges gaps, brings folks together, and offer visitors an opportunity to get to know the city and surrounding low country. As an artist, and a bit of a Renaissance Man, and Savannah excites me. Every time I walk out my door I see another story that deserves to be told. I’m a storytelling photographer and filmmaker yes, but also a fine art painter, and a gigging musician. This work at the intersections of the art forms allows me to cross paths with a lot of interesting, thoughtful, and creative people. What I have learned about Savannah is that it’s more than a city… Savannah is a community! If there ever was an art and music scene waiting to explode then I believe Savannah is on the verge. Folks here aren’t selfish either, I’ve seen a lot of kind folks helping those in need. This is all part of what moved me to want to document the area, but also to devote my own time and talents to shining a light on the talents and good will of others. My vision for Savannah Proper is to create an open and inclusive magazine that brings us all closer together.
